Surfactants

At Chemstorez, the CLYNZ brand represents our expertise in surface-active technologies and formulation enablers. The portfolio spans high-performance surfactants, versatile emulsifiers—including cold-processable options—and carefully selected specialty solvents, each designed to address the complex demands of modern formulations in Home & Personal Care as well as industrial systems.

Whether improving wetting and spreading, stabilizing complex emulsions, enhancing solubilization, or ensuring controlled cleaning performance, CLYNZ offers the technical reliability required by formulators and product developers.

Emulsifiers

 Example products:


  • CLYNZ-SE 165: Non-Ionic Self Emulsifying monostearate, based on PEG-100 Stearate & Glyceryl Stearate, designed for use as a primary emulsifier for all types of O/W cream or lotion systems and imparts very good stability into high electrolytes and extreme pH conditions (both acid and alkaline).
  • CLYNZ-SS: A natural glucose derivative non-ionic emulsifier based on Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate with a W/O emulsifying activity. It is safe and offers extremely low skin and eye irritation profiles. Usually combined with CLYNZ-SSE20 to offer an outstanding emulsifying performance. Perfect for creams, lotions and make-up used near the eye.
  • CLYNZ-SSE20: A natural glucose based non-ionic emulsifier, based on PEG-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate with an O/W emulsifying activity. It is safe and offers extremely low skin and eye irritation profiles. Usually combined with CLYNZ-SS to offer an outstanding emulsifying performance. Perfect for creams, lotions and make-up used near the eye. 
  • CLYNZ-SSG: Sodium Stearoly Glutamate, a strong anionic O/W emulsifier which is derived from 100% natural, EO-free. Effective in low dosages, flexible in oil and water phases and into cold and hot processes. 
  • CLYNZ-PGO: Polyglyceryl Oleate, used to create stable emulsions in cosmetics, food, and pharmaceuticals. Suitable for water-in-oil (W/O) creams and lotions due to its excellent stability and emollient properties, while also serving as a lubricant in industrial applications and a corrosion inhibition aid into air freshener aerosols. 
  • CLYNZ-PEG-6 GTCC: A water-soluble, non-ionic surfactant and emollient, based on PEG-6 Capylic/Capric Gylceride that can also solubilize oils and oil-soluble ingredients. It has excellent cleansing and emulsifying properties and can rapidly emulsify oils and pigments on the skin, effectively removing make-up. Suitable for transparent products
  • CLYNZ-L4: A non-ionic emulsifier based on Laureth-4 that provides good dispersing and solubilizing properties.
  • CLYNZ-POLYSORBATES: Emulsifiers, solubilizers, and stabilizers in pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics.
  • CLYNZ-PEG-40 HCO: Emulsifier, solubilizer, and emollient, helping to stabilize formulas and improve product texture and boosts foam.

Surfactants

Non-Ionic surfactants

 Example products:


  • CLYNZ-APGs: Alkyl Polyglucosides, including Decyl, Coco & Laury Glucosides as well as Caprylic/Capric Glucosides – Biodegradable, mild, and low in toxicity surfactants. They function as gentle cleansers and foam boosters in a wide range of personal care, household, and industrial products. 
  • CLYNZ-L61: A non-ionic EO/PO block copolymer (Ethylene Oxide/Propylene Oxide) surfactant. It is primarily used as a high-performance foam control agent and wetting agent in applications like Auto Dish Washing detergents. 
  • CLYNZ-L64: A non-ionic EO/PO block copolymer (Ethylene Oxide/Propylene Oxide) surfactant, it has a higher degree of ethoxylation, making it more water soluble (hydrophilic) while still maintaining low-foam characteristics.

Amphoteric surfactants

Example products:


  • CLYNZ-CAPB 35: Cocoamidopropyl Betaine.
  • CLYNZ-LAO 30: Lauramine Oxide, which is a mild surfactant that is used in cleaning and personal care products for its ability to produce rich, stable foam and enhance cleansing properties, it also has good pH stability that enables inclusion into specialty cleaners. 

Anionic surfactants

Amino Acid based surfactants: Mild, excellent biodegradable and low toxicity surfactants. Used as gentle cleansing, foaming, and emulsifying agents in various personal care products like shampoos, body washes, and toothpastes.


Example products:


  • CLYNZ-SLSAR 30: Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate 
  • CLYNZ-PCGLY: Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate – More soluble in Water and highly alkaline pH stable. Suitable for transparent formulations.
  • CLYNZ-SCGLY: Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate – Produces paste at low pH levels. Suitable for opaque formulations.
  • CLYNZ-SMCTAU: Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate – Wide pH range stable and highly tolerant against Water hardness.
  • CLYNZ-SMLTAU: Sodium Methyl Lauryl Taurate – Wide pH range stable and highly tolerant against Water hardness.
  • CLYNZ-DSCGLU: Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate - Exceptionally mild and compatible with sensitive, dry, and even allergic skin. It is often described as "tear-free" for use in baby products.
  • CLYNZ-SCALA: Sodium Cocoyl Alaninate – Gentle cleanser with moisturizing, and conditioning properties. It also has a wide pH stability range.

 

Other mild specialty anionic surfactants:


Example products:


  • CLYNZ-DSLSSUC: Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate - A mild, sulfate-free surfactant widely used in personal care products. Despite its name's similarity to harsh sulfates like sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), it is a completely different, much gentler molecule with a larger molecular structure that does not easily penetrate or irritate the skin. 
  • CLYNZ-SCI 85: Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, mild and highly foaming, used in many cosmetic and personal care products, it is often called "baby foam" due to its exceptional gentleness on the skin.
  • CLYNZ-DLES 30: Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, a high-performance, anionic surfactant widely utilized in the personal care industry as a mild alternative to traditional Sulfates. It is a very mild sulfosuccinate surfactant with good decontamination and emulsifying effects. It is valued for its ability to provide deep cleansing and rich foaming without the irritation often associated with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS).

  • CLYNZ-LA7C: Laureth-7 Citrate – Derived from Citric acid, with whitening, anti-aging and moisturizing effects similar to traditional fruit acids while imparting a lower irritation profile. It has good conditioning effects on hair and skin, with no build up. It also reduces the loss of skin moisture and protects the skin barrier.
  • CLYNZ-AOS: Sodium Alpha Olefin Sulfonate, an anionic surfactant used in personal care and household cleaning products for its excellent foaming, cleansing, and emulsifying properties as well as in Construction applications as an air-entraining agent and plasticizer.

Acids & Solvents

Example products:


  • CLYNZ-GLYOXILIC ACID 50: an organic acid with conditioning and hair straightening properties that is used in styling cosmetics.
  • CLYNZ-PC ULTRA PURE: an ultra high purity Propylene Carbonate solvent, with wetting and moisturizing properties, low toxicity, low evaporation rate and low flammability.

Anti-Static and Easy Next Clean Agents

Example products:


  • CLYNZ-STAT 400: A water-soluble, cationic copolymer that provides high anti-static efficacy by dissipating ionic charges. It couples well with solvents, non-ionic and small amounts of anionic surfactants to create a lightweight film that prevents airborne particles from adhering to the surfaces after cleaning.
  • CLYNZ-STAT 149: A water-soluble, amphoteric copolymer that creates a hydrophilic molecular layer that lowers surface tension, exhibiting water sheeting and anti-spotting benefits to treated surfaces.
